GAFF - The spar ON the upper edge of a sail. A long hook with a sharp point to haul fish in.

GALLEY - The kitchen area of a marine vessel.

GANGPLANK - a movable bridge used in boarding or leaving a marine vessel at a pier.

GANGWAY - The area of a marine vessel's side where people board and disembark.

GARBOARD - The strake closest to the keel
